Clause no. 1: Purpose and scope of application

The General Terms and Conditions of Sale below apply to the sale of guided tour services, provided by the guides of SARL NDT, communication name “Normandy Discovery Tours” – located at 13 rue du général de Gaulle, 50480 Sainte-Mère-Eglise, registered under SIRET number N° 95244284600012.
In accordance with current regulations, the guides are holders of professional tour guide cards, issued by the Ministries of Tourism and Culture. Issuance of this professional card is subject to the conditions set out in articles R. 221-1 et seq. of the French Tourism Code. The managing and salaried shareholders hold VTC cards. SARL NDT holds the attestation of transport capacity.

 

Clause n ° 2 : Prices

Tour prices shown on the https://normandydiscoverytours.com website are expressed in euros (€). Services will be invoiced on the basis of the rates in force on the day the order is registered. Prices include 20% VAT.

 

Clause no. 3: Terms of payment

Payment for orders must be made :
– by cheque ;
– by credit card ;
– in cash ;
– by bank transfer ;
– online banking
For private guided tours by van, payment is requested at the time of booking, after the invoice has been sent. For jeep tours, payment is requested at the end of the tour.

Clause No. 4: Cancellation of van and premium van tours

In the event of cancellation, the following conditions apply:
– if the customer cancels 14 days before the tour, 90% of the full amount paid will be reimbursed (10% will be kept representing the administrative costs associated with the said reservation).
– for cancellations less than 14 days and more than 2 days before the tour, 20% of the amount paid is retained, and the remainder is refunded.
– for cancellations less than 2 days before the full-day visit, 40% of the amount paid is retained, the remainder is refunded (e.g. for a visit taking place on May 3 at 4pm, customers must have given notice by May 30 at 11:59pm at the latest).

-In the event of force majeure (external, unpredictable and irrisistible reason) and with official documents proving it, the entire amount paid will be reimbursed.

If the tour is cancelled by SARL NDT “Normandy Discovery Tours”, the full amount is refunded.
In the event of cancellation of the tour by SARL NDT ” Normandy Discovery Tours “, travel/accommodation expenses incurred by customers in connection with the trip will not be reimbursed. Normandy Discovery Tours undertakes to offer customers alternative activities in the same area.

 

Clause 5: Cancellation of jeep tours

In the event of cancellation of jeep tours, no payment is required.
Cancellations or postponements of jeep tours may be requested in the event of bad weather/rain. Any postponement will depend on availability and the guides’ schedule.
– Jeep breakdown: despite regular vehicle maintenance, breakdowns may occur before or during the tour.
o Breakdown before the tour : Normandy Discovery Tours undertakes to inform you as quickly as possible and in real time, and to offer you a postponement of the activity within the limits of the guides’ and clients’ schedules. In the event of vehicle breakdown before departure, no travel or accommodation reservations will be reimbursed. Suggestions for additional activities will nevertheless be made.
o Breakdown during the tour: Normandy Discovery Tours first undertakes to complete the tour with an available period vehicle, if necessary. If no other vehicle is available, Normandy Discovery Tours undertakes to return customers to the place of departure, and no invoicing of the service will be requested. A postponement of the activity may be offered, subject to availability and the customer’s schedule. In the event of a postponement, Normandy Discovery Tours will offer a 30% discount on the usual rates, as an apology.

 

Clause no. 6: Overtime

Any extra hour not provided for in advance and not included in the estimate will be billed at 75euros, all taxes included.

 

Clause n ° 7: Loss or theft

Personal belongings are the responsibility of the customer. In the event of loss or theft, SARL NDT is not responsible.

 

Clause n ° 8: Competent court

Any dispute relating to the interpretation and execution of these general terms and conditions of sale is subject to French law.
Failing amicable resolution, the dispute will be referred to the Coutances Commercial Court.
